Frequently Asked Questions
Levelling the Ground
As for levelling, there are many ways to achieve this, it all depends on what condition the surface is in. Sand or gravel is used for minor levelling. If major levelling is required then we recommend renting a rototiller to even the topsoil, then adding gravel or sand to stiffen the topsoil before assembling your Easideck.
How to Build it
I have great news for you! Easideck is really easy!! Our kits take minutes to hours to assemble, depending on how large your final product is. Only a couple, common tools are required: a screwdriver and hammer. Everything has been pre-cut, drilled and the tiles come assembled. Click here to see a video of our Quad being assembled.
The steps are:
1. Roll out the Foundation
2. Place the 6 Spreader Boards in place
3. Install one Rim Board
4. Place two Deck Tiles on the Foundation
5. Install the Patented Deck Clip in the centre of the deck frame
6. Set the remaining two Deck Files on the Foundation
7. Install the remaining Rim Board
We include screws and Deck Joining instructions for combining the kits. To summarize, there are marked places on the deck frames to screw the kits together. It is that easy!
How Long it Takes
Easideck does not require carpentry or building skills! On average, it takes one person two hours to build a quad package. If there are more people, or skills involved the time can be drastically shorter.

Can you use wood stain
Yes, however recommend not to stain until at least one year after installation. When you go to the paint department indicate to them you have pressure treated wood to stain. They will provide you with the proper products and procedures.
Type of wood stain
Best to use a semi-transparent outdoor wood products stain.
Your competitor claims that pressure treated wood is quite toxic when cutting it. And it cracks as well. Is this a safe product
With Easideck there is no cutting as the entire product is fabricated. In addition, all the parts are pre-cut and pre-drilled prior to Pressure Treating which means there is no pressure treated waste created during manufacturing either. There was a time when Pressure treated wood was in fact toxic. That was what they called CCA pressure Treating. About 20 years ago, this was banned across North American. The pressure treatment we use now is from Wolman and is call BARmine. Which has been approved by Government and is safe to use. Our pressure treated product is the same process used for the pressure treatment lumber you see at Lowes and Home Depot.
What is Easideck made of
The wood species is Lodgepole pine. It’s one of the harder of the softwoods and very common for being used for wood decks. The pressure treatment we use now is from Wolman and is call BARmine. Which has been approved by Government and is safe to use. In addition, all the parts are pre-cut and pre-drilled prior to Pressure Treating which means there is no pressure treated waste created during manufacturing either.
